Das Album „Aladdin“ erscheint am 29.04.2016 und wie bereits bekannt sein dürfte, gibt es auch einen Spielfilm gleichen Namens dazu. Und hier ist er, der ultimative Trailer zum Film „Aladdin“:
Der Film ist eine moderne Umsetzung der klassischen Aladin-Geschichte, in der Green den Titelhelden verkörpert. Die satirische Odysse behandelt dabei Themen wie Technologie, Unterdrückung durch den Staat, Gier und wahre Liebe, wobei Greens Fantasie die ursprüngliche Lampe zu einem 3D-Drucker weiterspinnt, die Prinzessin ein dekadentes IT-Girl mimt, der Planet einer Geschlechtsumwandlung unterzogen wird und die Bevölkerung sich eine analoge Version des Internets zurecht bastelt. Sämtliche Kulissen des Films sind aus Pappmaché und natürlich selbst gemacht, mehr als 500 Teile und 30 Räume wurden konstruiert unter Einsatz von Unmengen von Telefonbüchern, Zeitungspapier, Kleister und Farbe.

- Jack Dishel, the comic-genius creator of viral YouTube show :DRYVRS starring in two main roles – the technology-obsessed Sultan, who’s a perverse and tyrannical buffoon. And the shifty yet wholesome Uncle Gary, who tells Aladdin of a magical lamp hidden in a cave.
- The debut of a brand new on-screen-talent named Macaulay Culkin, who stars as Ralph, the charismatic leader of the Magical Americans, a rebel army opposed to the Sultan’s ways.
- Andrew Van Wyngarden of MGMT as a hologram Guardian of the Lamp.
- Har Mar Superstar as a British Druggie Guy.
- Zoe Kravitz as a red-neck miner with a very special wish.
- A shit sandwich.
- A sneak peek at some of the songs I wrote for the Aladdin Soundtrack Album that will be released concurrently with the film The album is a folk-funk opus.
